The working group aims to promote good ophthalmic care in the tropics by exchanging experiences and information between Dutch health personnel, promoting postgraduate education and stimulating research and development of adapted technology for ophthalmology in developing countries.
The working group organises a meeting twice a year. Every two years, a two-day international course on Tropical Ophthalmology is organised in Utrecht. If you would like to do a practical ophthalmology internship, the working group can help you arrange this.
