Strategic partners

The collaboration with SANO dates back to 1969, the year in which the Foundation was established. SANO originated from a collaboration between the NSGH and the Royal Dutch Medical Association (KNMG). The aim of the Foundation is to provide financial support to healthcare workers who contribute to healthcare in low- and middle-income countries.

Together with other partners, KCGH, NSGH and OIGT are active in the Global Health Hub Netherlands. In this coalition, we share expertise within various Communities of Practice on topics such as health policy, financing and zoonoses. This joint approach strengthens the bridge between research, policy and practice.

The NSGH is a member of FESTMIH (Federation of European Societies for Tropical Medicine and International Health), and both OIGT and KCGH regularly participate in FESTMIH projects and conferences. Through this network, we exchange European research results, coordinate training programmes and promote international best practices.

We collaborate with universities, research institutes, and healthcare institutions in the Netherlands and worldwide through our committees and working groups. In addition, we are actively involved in research and advocacy initiatives of partner organisations, including Wemos and the SDG3 Alliance.

NSGH is a member of the Dutch Global Health Alliance. The DGHA is an independent network of non-governmental organisations working in the global-health field. It coordinates and promotes data-driven, broad-based advocacy actions, with the aim of influencing Dutch policy. The DGHA regularly enters into dialogue with both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DSO-MG) and the Ministry of Health on policy in the Netherlands, Europe and globally.
