The Society is part of FESTMIH (the Federation of European Societies for Tropical Medicine and International Health).
Founded in 1995 at the first European Congress on Tropical Medicine in Hamburg, the Federation has grown into a network of 14 European associations and networking organisations in the broad field of global health.
FESTMIH organises a congress every two years, and in 2023 we organised the congress for the second time in the Netherlands with the theme Planetary Health.
FESTMIH is also co-publisher of the European journal Tropical Medicine & International Health (TM&IH).
