Would you like to join our team? We are looking for a policy officer for 4 to 6 hours per week. At the NSGH (Dutch Society for Global Health) professional association, you will be part of a small team actively contributing to training and registration.
You will mainly focus on issues relating to International Health Care (IHC) training, science, (re)registration and current issues such as improving the working position of AIGs in the Netherlands, RGS/BIG registration, accreditation, assessment groups, modular training and cooperation with other professional associations. By working on these issues, you will increase the visibility and influence of the NSGH and its profile doctors: International Health Care Physicians (IHP).
Background
As a policy officer, you will have a varied portfolio involving close collaboration with the NSGH board, the OIG training council (CIG, which provides advice on training), the NSGH scientific council and the contact persons within the RGS (Register of Medical Specialisms).
Duties and job description
- Providing support to the CIG:
-Support in communication and logistics between the various parties involved
-Taking minutes of meetings and scheduling new meetings
-Organising training activities for trainers - Permanent contact person for bodies such as the RGS (Register of Medical Specialists) and CGS (College of Medical Specialists)
- Contact person for questions about re-registration
- Contributing ideas to evaluation and quality assurance with regard to examination groups, accreditation and continuing professional development
- Policy officer at the Scientific Council (meets four times a year)
- Developing policy (together with the NSGH board and members) regarding the working position of the AIG (International Healthcare Physician) in the Dutch field of work.
Qualifications
- Minimum higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English.
- It is an advantage if our new colleague has an affinity with the IG programme or has completed this programme themselves.
- Possesses a high degree of flexibility, independence, and creativity. • Experience with programmes such as Canva.
- Strong social media skills.
