The RGS is an independent body within the KNMG which, amongst other things, monitors the quality of postgraduate medical training programmes and assesses re-registrations. Every medical specialism and profile is represented in the RGS plenary meeting, where you represent our profession as an individual. In addition, you may be asked to take part in evaluation visits (previously known as \u2018visitations\u2019). This year\u2019s schedule includes, amongst other things, the evaluation visit for our own training programme!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An appointment as an RGS member is for a period of four years and may be renewed once for a further four years. During your term as an RGS member, you must be registered as an AIG.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is also worth noting that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The meetings are always on Fridays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An allowance is paid for each meeting (attendance fee)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three of the eight meetings held each year are in person, usually at the Domus Medicus in Utrecht.
