For our three organisations, we are looking for a confidant for our staff. This is a volunteer position with an expected workload of several hours per year.
The confidential advisor provides a safe and confidential place where employees can go with questions or concerns about, for example, undesirable behaviour, harassment, discrimination, integrity issues or other situations perceived as stressful. The role is supportive and advisory: the confidential counsellor listens, contributes ideas, provides information on possible follow-up steps and can refer to professional help if necessary. Control over any follow-up steps always remains with the person concerned.
We are seeking someone who:
- Has experience as a confidant and/or relevant training for this purpose;
- Can act with independence, care and integrity;
- Possesses good listening skills and an empathetic attitude;
- Take confidentiality and privacy for granted.
